Amelia Lord has a passion for cooking that she would like to share with you. Drawing from a variety of cultural backgrounds, from Puerto Rico, to Italy and even Iran, her style is based on locally sourced, seasonal and unique ingredients. She has a special fondness for coastal Connecticut and all it has to offer; crabbing and clamming and apple picking are particular favorite seasonal activities.
Amelia was thrust into the kitchen early in life and managed not to leave. She is a self-taught chef, has worked in a number of restaurants but prefers the intimacy of working directly with people who would like to expand their abilities in the kitchen. Amelia Lord is a certified Holistic Health Coach and has a comprehensive knowledge of various diets and a familiarity with food allergies and restrictions and is able to provide culinary guidance during the transition to a different style of eating.
